We recently have been made aware of a fraud scheme affecting FSU Credit Union debit and ATM card holders. IMPORTANT: If anyone calls and asks you to confirm any information that appears on your debit, ATM, or credit card (such as card number, CVV number, name on the card, expiration date, address, zip code), DO NOT share anything with them. HANG UP IMMEDIATELY and contact FSU Credit Union at 850-224-4960 to cancel your card and request a replacement. FSU Credit Union will never call you to ask for this type of card information.

Currently, these fraudsters are claiming to be from the “Card Department” to verify a purchase, such as an Amazon purchase, which you didn’t make. Then, they’re asking to confirm your card and personal information to stop the purchase. Next, they create a copycat debit card and commit fraud with it. Again, if you’re called, hang up immediately and call us 850-224-4960 to cancel your debit card. We will order you a new debit card immediately.

These copycat cards are primarily being used at Bank of America and Wells Fargo ATMs outside of the Tallahassee area, primarily in South Florida. To protect our members, we have temporarily blocked FSU Credit Union debit cards from Bank of America and Wells Fargo ATM machines outside of Tallahassee. That means, members cannot use their debit cards at these ATMs. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but it is for the safety of our membership.

Please feel free to call us at 850-224-4960 or email support@fsucu.org with any questions.
