The FSU Credit Union board of directors is pleased to announce Charles E. “Chuck” Adcock III will become the new FSU Credit Union President/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) effective April 2, 2018. Mr. Adcock has served as FSU Credit Union Executive Vice President (EVP) for the past 14 years.
“We are excited to bring Chuck’s vision and leadership to the forefront of FSU Credit Union,” commented FSU Credit Union Board of Directors Chair Dr. Stacy Sirmans. “Over the past 24 years, he has demonstrated an infectious passion for serving our members and advancing the credit union movement.”
Mr. Adcock will replace current President/CEO J. Bradley Blake, who will now lead a new technology credit union services organization. Mr. Blake, who started with FSU Credit Union in 1994 and became President/CEO in 2003, and Mr. Adcock plan to work closely together over the next several weeks to ensure a seamless leadership transition.
“I am proud to be passing the torch onto Chuck and look forward to being able to use my passion and knowledge in information technology to spearhead an exciting new credit union service organization,” said Mr. Blake. “Serving as President/CEO of our credit union has been a great honor and privilege, and I can’t think of anyone better suited than Chuck to continue the mission of maximizing our members’ financial well-being.”
Mr. Adcock first joined the credit union in 1994 as a teller while completing his finance degree from Florida State University. He quickly moved up the ranks to second in command before being named incoming President/CEO. While serving as EVP of FSU Credit Union, he formed and became the Chief Operating Officer for the Credit Union Service Organization, iDriveLending, LLC. By combining the buying power of six credit unions, iDriveLending helps to streamline the auto loan process for local auto dealers and consumers. Mr. Adcock also was a driving force behind the establishment of the Frenchtown Financial Opportunity Center (FFOC), which serves the traditionally underserved community near downtown Tallahassee.
Mr. Adcock is considered one of Tallahassee’s most respected lending and financial literacy experts. He serves as a guest lecturer on financial literacy topics at Florida State University, other area colleges, local high schools, and area businesses. He also consults with credit unions across the country implementing and managing risk-based lending programs. In 2017, he was named a “Credit Union Rock Star” by the Credit Union National Association (CUNA). Mr. Adcock was the only honoree from Florida and one of just 54 Credit Union Rock Stars selected nationwide by CUNA and Credit Union Magazine. Credit Union Rock Stars are considered professionals whose hard work, creativity, and enthusiasm have transformed their credit unions and provided a model of service for the entire credit union industry.
Help us congratulate Mr. Adcock!
