Inspiring students in our community to dream big and reach their potential is what Junior Achievement Big Bend (JABB) is all about, and FSU Credit Union is supporting those efforts by raising funds for them in March through our Borrow 4 Less – Give Back More program.

Financing or refinancing your vehicle through FSU Credit Union ensures a great rate, personal service and a donation to a worthy local charity. We highlight one or more charities each month, and with every completed direct auto loan, our team makes a $10 donation to these great community organizations. It’s a team effort.

JABB’s volunteer-delivered, kindergarten-12th grade programs foster work-readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy skills through experiential learning.

JABB helps students realize that the education they are getting today will help them to have a bright future tomorrow. Their unique, volunteer-delivered programs show them all of the possibilities that lay before them. They realize they can choose different paths, such as college, a specific trade or start their own business.

Through your participation as an organization or as an individual, these statistics below can begin to change in your community:

  • 20% of U.S. students will not complete high school on time and earn a diploma.
  • 49% of U.S. employers recognize that talent shortages impact their ability to serve clients and customers.
  • 36% of Americans say that they have at some point in their lives felt their financial situation was out of control.
  • 91% of millennials wish they had greater access to entrepreneurial education programs.

“Junior Achievement inspired me to start a business right after high school. While I am in college, I am also running my business and I am enjoying it so much. All thanks to your unit on entrepreneurship. I just wanted to say thank you…!” Andrew (Chiles High School)
