Leadership Positions
FSU Credit Union is managed and lead by its Board of Directors. In addition, a volunteer Supervisory Committee is responsible for ensuring that the credit union’s Board of Directors and leadership engage in practices and procedures to properly safeguard members’ assets. Nominations for leadership positions on the Board of Directors and Supervisory Committee may be made by the FSU Credit Union Nominating Committee or by qualified petition. All Board of Directors and Supervisory Committee positions are voluntary and unpaid.
The FSU Credit Union Nominating Committee has officially nominated Hugh Fones, Phaedra Harris, Dr. Shenifa Taite, and David White for the open FSU Credit Union Board of Directors positions. We invite you to learn more about the leadership nominees.
A qualified petition must have the signatures of at least fifty (50) Credit Union members and be received by the Secretary of the Credit Union at least forty-five (45) calendar days prior to the annual meeting of the membership. All persons whose signatures appear on the petition must be certified by the Secretary of the Credit Union as being Credit Union members who are eligible to vote in the election.
A certificate stating the nominee is agreeable to nomination, is statutorily qualified, is in good standing with the Credit Union, and will serve if elected must be submitted to the Secretary of the Credit Union with the petition. The petition and nominee’s certification bearing original signatures must be received by the Secretary of the Credit Union at least forty-five (45) calendar days prior to the annual meeting of the membership.
