FSU Credit Union Director of Lending and Business Development Grant Abbott recently was elected President of the Tallahassee Chapter of Credit Unions, which represents credit unions affiliated with the League of Southeastern Credit Unions in the Tallahassee area.
In addition to providing educational and networking opportunities for credit unions and their business partners, the Tallahassee Chapter also promotes cooperation among and growth of credit unions to advance the credit union movement and sponsors educational and community involvement projects in the area.
“I am honored to have the opportunity to lead our local credit union chapter. We are committed to continuing the initiatives to promote the credit union movement and serve our community. Cooperation is what allows credit unions to make a difference in Tallahassee and around the globe. I am excited to see how our chapter’s commitment to this cooperation will impact this community.”
Grant, who joined the FSU Credit Union team in 2010, graduated from the FSU College of Business with degrees in Finance and Marketing. He is a Certified Lending Expert, graduate of the LCSI Advanced Lending Institute, and one of only two professionals in the greater Tallahassee area with the Credit Union Business Lending Professional designation.
